we are supposed to go over to wherever he lives with torches and pitchforks and not leave him alone until he reads all the books twice and loves them. haha

no i dont think im embarrassed by other twilighters....ive probably done worse and more crazy things than they have

i am not afraid to tell people i am a twilighter and proudly wear my twilight shirts... I LOVE TWILIGHT!!!

I'm not embarrassed to be a twihard. I'm not angry and Stephen King either. He's entitled to his opinion. However, I've been a Stephen King fan in the past, but quite frankly it's not like his writing is a literary masterpiece. You would think that people would be a little more encouraging of fellow writers though.

I don't think Twilight fans should let it get under their skin. Its the opinion of one person, its not any more important than anyone else's opinion.

Exactly Stina. If we give more credence to what he thinks, then we are only giving him more power.

You would think... but apparently he's not. I agree, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I don't understand how he could just bash Stephenie like that; especially since so many of us love her series?

I CAN"T Believe stephenie meyer has taken this comment so well. i have heard nothing in the media from her "camp". i guess ignoring bad remarks is the best way. but part of me wants her to "stay and fight" for all twilighters everywhere. that might be the worst thing she could do but part me wants to go to odds with the old guy.

I did actually go to odds with one blogger this week on this subject. She is a member here now and we consider her not a twifan but not a twihater. I think we won her over on "us' as a group of people.

molly from her site said this about twi-tards as the commenters put it...

I stopped reading any comments on any of my posts that criticized, or even just talked about anything Twilight. I don't know how many times I had to remind commenters to be civil. It doesn't help that most of the most vocal fans are so immature. I think King got it right, personally.... but whatev.

the only time i was embarrassed that i was a twihard was i was at the mall and i was wearing this GIGANTIC edward cullen button and theese girls like pointed at it and were like giggling... but besides that... I HAVE NO SHAME!

I have no problem letting others know that I am a Twilighter. I am very proud of that fact. I guess Stephen King is entitled to his opinion, but I do not have to share that at all. I believe that both writer are extremely talented. There are always critics out there, but Stephanie's fans are the ones who's opinion should matter the most. I can't really say how the the Cullen's would act, but I think they would just let it go and not worry about it at all. I for one am proud to be a Twilighter. HALLELUJAH!!!

I agree with your previous post as well Aimee. He isn't the most brilliant writer either. I don't really think he can deem who is a bad writer. It's just his opinion, and it kind of seems like he wanted to get some sort of attention for such a blunt comment.

Don't they school famous people like they schooled kristen and robert on how to act. i am sure this was not Public relations etiquette. does anyone think he is trying to get some of the twilight spotlight? he did release a movie collection last week just fyi.
