Google Faceoffs: Tracking Celeb Popularity - Twilight vs HP and Robert Pattinson vs Daniel Radcliffe
The site PopEater took to Google Trends to compare popularity between celebrities. the compare HP and Twilight [of course]
For a large portion of the past year, 'Twilight' was more popular than the 'Harry Potter' series. But upon the public hype and advertising for the sixth installment of the wizarding world saga, 'Harry Potter' was back on top as the franchise favorite (as far as Google search terms are concerned).
In a fantasy film heartthrob face-off, Robert Pattinson surpassed Daniel Radcliffe in his Google popularity this year. Interest in Pattinson exploded at the end of 2008 as the 'Twilight' craze grabbed fans by the throat.

I like Harry Potter and the books are good yes the world is awesome but I felt no connection to it but HONESTLY FOR ME I ADORE THE TWILIGHT BOOKS MORE.and YES I CAN SAY IT'S BETTER for me. AND I'LL CHOOSE TWILIGHT OVER POTTER no matter what.

Nikki, I agree with u in term of money. HP have 7 books as Twilght have 4. But I don't agree in terms of fans! I think twilight reaches more people and HP is restricted to fans who grow up reading [like the characters in each book] the franchise and has more difficulty in acquiring new fans.

Mel IT'S ALREADY REACHED IT OK. Twilight is on a different level in a different way. Yes Potter is huge and always will be BUT DON'T LIE TO YOURSELF THERES MILLIONS OF PEOPLE WHO ARE out there who would choose Twilight over Harry and I'm one of them. I like the Potter books and people say you don't have to choose between them but I already have.

Fe Pattz, are you serious? Even if you multiply the Twilight sales by 5, HP still sold more copies. And you think the HP fans are "restricted"? More like Twilight is: all females. Harry Potter attracts boys and girls, men and women. If that's not enough proof, compare the sales of the Twilight movie to any HP movie...it doesn't even hold a candle.

Twilighter76, you say its already reached? has twilight sold more copies?-no. did the first twilight movie make more than any single harry potter?-no. and please explain how i am lying to myself, just because a million little girls and moms pick twilight over hp doesnt make it more successful which was the point i was trying to get across.

yah of corse rob is better then daniel!!! and just wait till like october then we all know which one is going to be on top!!! i think we can beat the amount of money harry potter made on its first day when new moon comes out!!
