The Great Team Debate: Is Stephenie Meyer Team Edward or Team Jacob? Who Does Stephenie Think Would Win in a Physical Fight? How Does She Feel About Creating a Romantic Icon and More!!!
The Stephenie Meyer fan-junket interview was all roses & hollyhocks until we delved into the most contentious subject of all, Team Edward vs Team Jacob...yes, of course we had to go there! Both sides battled vigorously (I'm not going to lie...Alison & I fought HARD for Team Edward!!) It was a heavy debate but in the end Stephenie Meyer really is...Team Switzerland :)
Have you ever wondered about who would actually win in a physical fight between Edward & Jacob? We're talking the nitty gritty here people! Depending on what team you're on the answer seems obvious but Alison & I wanted to know what the goddess who created the whole Twilight world, Stephenie Meyer, herself had to say. So we asked:

The Twilight Saga has become a worldwide phenomenon. Another question we were really curious about was how does Stephenie feel about creating a fictional character, Edward Cullen, who has become such a huge romantic icon that millions of women are measuring men against? Come on, you know we are! Don't lie!
Ok, Team Jacob, here's a little something for you! LTT's Moon got the ball rolling on this next discussion by bringing up how people really should read New Moon twice, to which Stephenie Meyer talks about giving Jacob a chance & how much she loves Taylor Lautner. Time for some puppy love:

We gave Jacob a chance but in the end it all boils down to Edward...
Edward goes through quite an evolution from Twilight to Breaking Dawn. Stephenie Meyer enlightens us with her insight into our favorite sparkly vampire. It was dazzling just listening to her (even the Team Jacob people were dazzled). Edward goes from being the "hot boy" in Twilight to "responsible Dad" in Breaking Dawn, from being "the worst pessimist to optimist". She even discusses what she thinks about the YA (young adult) rating for BD.

Sad to say, I don't think they would fight in the end. Neither would hurt Bella that way and neither would hurt Nessie. So I would have to conclude, by the end of the book, there wouldn't be a fight, it wouldn't get that far because of their luv for Nessie And Bella.

Well, I'm Team Carlisle myself, but if I was Bella I would choose Edward. I love them both but I see Jacob as more of an adorable brother/friend! So, Team Edward! :)

Jacob is more the loyal friend. Edward is the perfect life partner! I don't think that because they both love Bella so much that they would actually fight! Team Edward! All the way! Kim,thank you so much for posting the interviews.

I my goodness. There can only be one team, and that IS the Edward team. I am sorry but evan if Jacob tries to treat Bella the way Edward does, he wont be a drop in the bucket.

Go team Jacob, he never left her to protect her like Edward and he never put her in a depression where four months went bye. Jacob was her friend first then became more, Bella could break his poor heart when he was hurt was just wrong.
